More than 30 personal messages from the people of the Island were collected on Saturday 5th December, in the ‘Messages from the Outer Hebrides’ event held in Stornoway.
The Stop Climate Chaos Scotland (SCCS) volunteers received an enthusiastic response to requests for messages to take to global leaders, gathering at the UN climate talks in Paris, this month.
Elizabeth Seary member of the SCCS delegation travelling to the talks in Paris, said: “Despite the challenging weather conditions, we are very pleased to have had the opportunity to engage with people, and encourage them to be part of the narrative - of this International Climate Change Agreement.
Stop Climate Chaos Scotland (SCCS) is a diverse coalition of 60 organisations campaigning together on climate change; members include environment, faith, trade union, and development organisations.
