The Stornoway Bridge Club came together this week to compete for silverware and specifically the Golf Club Trophy.
On the night there was only 14 players competing which meant the players had to settle on a 28 board movement with 3 ½ tables.
Once again it was win or bust as there were only three scores for each hand. In the end, congratulations go to Jean MacLeod and Derek MacKenzie who came in first place with 62 per cent and two slams on boards 9 and 17.
Ken MacDonald and Dave Gormley in were in second place with 58 per cent and one slam.
These four players have been consistently good already this season and are the players to watch
In third place was the pairing of John Murdo MacLean and Henk Graauwmans with 50 per cent.
Henk too has been having a very good season and he and John Murdo proved on Tuesday that they were ‘back in the game’.
Next week is the first of the Charity evenings in support of Cancer Research.
