On Saturday 12th May a group from Sportshall Athletics club went on an exciting trip to Ness. This is a report of the trip by Katryn, Lewis, Samantha, Gemma and Cameron of class P5A.
We were the team that were meant to go away to Inverness this time last year. Unfortunately the trip was cancelled four times due to the bad weather! We were all really disappointed when this kept on happening. We had all raised a lot of money for the trip through sponsored activities.
Our parents suggested that the club could use the money for us so the group leaders decided to take us on a trip to Spors Nis where we went swimming and bowling. We had a fantastic time in the swimming pool as we had it all to ourselves and the bowling was great fun.
After this we went to Eorpie Playpark where we burnt off our last bit of energy. While we were there the sun was shining for us and we had an amazing time. We were also very lucky to enjoy a scrumptious picnic which was kindly donated to us by Tesco. We would like to say a big thank you to Kevin Poke and his staff.
The rest of the money is going towards buying new equipment for the club. Everybody had a fabulous time and we would like to say a huge thank you to our leaders and parents for making this trip possible.
