The visitor attraction also has lots to keep the children entertained over the summer months with a family summer pass, in gallery handling afternoon, Museum trails and poppy crafts. Shonagh Lowerson-Head, learning and audience officer, said: “We hope families are as excited as we are about our summer family pass! This summer special offer means families who buy our Museum flexible family ticket can use it up until September 25.”
This summer, The Black Watch Castle and Museum became the first venue in mainland Scotland to host the emotive Poppies: Weeping Window sculpture by Paul Cummins, artist and Tom Piper, designer. Visitors can view this commemorative artwork until the end of September. The venue has a number of events linked to the installation that will engage visitors of all ages, including Message to a Soldier and the Scottish Hydro singers performing a selection of World War One songs.
