Since 1962 literally hundreds of Lanarkians have, voluntarily and unpaid, staged the club’s annual show to delight generations of audiences, with box office profits going to local charities.

The club is due to put its 2015 show on at the Memorial Hall in early December, but there are fears that ticket sales will be fatally hit by the hall’s operators, South Lanarkshire Leisure, booking a professional panto production for the week immediately after the local amateur show.
