Trading Standards Warning
Trading Standards at Comhairle nan Eilean Siar are warning residents after complaints about scammers calling claiming to be working for Hebridean Housing Partnership and offering refunds on rent, should the consumer provide their bank details.
A spokesperson for Trading Standards said: “Consumers are reminded that Hebridean Housing Partnership will never contact you for private details in this manner.”
The police are also aware of the situation.
