Uist Fun Day a mega success

Stormy Stan made his way to North Uist for the Fun Day in Lochmaddy Hall on Saturday 17th, and was introduced to the crowd as part of a procession lead by Sgoil Lionacleit Pipe Band.

‘Latha na Mara’ raised over £3,000 for Leverburgh Lifeboat Station, and has now become an annual event.

There were a variety of stalls from which people could make purchases, from RNLI Souvenirs, to home-baking and hand-made items.

Everybody at Leverburgh Lifeboat Station would like to extend their thanks to all those that contributed in any way, and especially to our Uist-based fundraisers Stella and Barbara, who put so much effort into organising the day.
