Update from Vodafone

Lack of mobile phone signal in parts of Lewis is continuing to cause frustration but Vodafone say they are working on the problem.

A spokesperson for Vodafone said: “We’re very sorry that the problems with signal interference are continuing, and once again we apologise to our customers who have been affected.

“We understand that other operators are also experiencing interference issues and we have asked our service ops team to work with them to resolve the problems. Unfortunately the actions we’ve taken so far haven’t restored the signal, so we’ve instructed engineers to attend site with a Spectrum Analyser to try to identify the root of the problem.”
