The screening went down extremely well with the local audience.

Dr. Edward Graham, who was also an extra for the series, commented: “There is a lovely, peaceful and overwhelmingly Scottish ‘aura’ to the programmes – they are very relaxing, much unlike the frantic pace of most childrens’ entertainment these days – a kind of serene portrayal of an alternative island lifestyle, together with a little moral message in each programme for all the mummies and daddies who are watching…yet at the same time, very gripping and takes your full attention.”

Filmed on Lewis the Move on Up production was directed by Don Coutts and produced by Margaret Matheson. The Executive Producers are Lindy Cameron for Move on Up and Sara Harkins and Michael Towner for CBeebies. The series also received support from BBC Scotland, Creative Scotland and Highlands and Islands Enterprise.
