A special service was held in Stornoway this morning (Saturday) to mark the Centenary of the Gallipoli landings - a First World War campaign in which many island men were lost.
A parade around the town centre was led by Lewis Pipe Band. A salute was given by Vice Lord Lieutenant of the Western Isles, Donald Martin.
Today’s event marks the end of a month-long programme to mark the Centenary. An exhibition in the Drill Hall will be open for the last time today until 4pm.
