Birthday celebrations for North Uist ACC

On Saturday the 5th of May at 3.00pm North Uist AAC will celebrate its 20 birthday with a run around North Uist and a licensed ceilidh dance and pasta night in Lochmaddy village hall starting at 8.00pm.

Over the years hundreds of young people have been members of the club and a few of them have gone on to represent Scotland and Britain in various sports.

And after 20 years the group are now getting a second generation of young people joining the club.

Hopefully the day will bring together members of the club past and present to celebrate the club’s 20th birthday.

Members have been receiving messages from former athletes on the who are travelling over for our 20th birthday celebration.

But if you are planning on taking part don’t be too worried about running around North Uist, as they are only asking participants to run walk or jog one mile. This means that the group need 32 people in order to complete the challenge and raise money.

Sponsor forms are available from club committee members or at reception in Taigh Chearsabhagh, North Uist.
