Camanachd Leodhais north Sixes

Camanachd Leodhais sent two teams to this year's Far North Sixes at Scourie.Na Leodhasaich entered a team in the under 14 league competition and a team in the open league competition for older players. The young Leodhasaich got off to a great start. Coming from behind they won their first game 2-1 with a double from Keith Bray. In their second game again against a Kinlochbervie side they succeeded in again coming from behind and securing a 1-1 draw. Again Keith Bray was Na Leodhasaich's scorer. They then secured another 3 points with narrow defeats to the two Glengarry teams and the third KLB team.

The seniors then took on the two KLB teams, Caithness and Lochbroom in the open league competition. All games were closely fought with Eoghan Stewart and Seumas Charity leading a mixed ladies and gents side. Anna MacRae was outstanding in defence .No wins or draws were secured but Steven Morrison in only his second competitive outing was outstanding and was awarded player of the tournament. A great honour taking into consideration the high standard of play in the competition.

Great day out and thanks go to KLB folk and community bus people for their hospitality and friendship.
