BBC ALBA’s live coverage of the RaboDirect PRO12 league continues this weekend as Edinburgh host Leinster.

Coverage from Murrayfield will begin tomorrow at 7.30pm, with the game itself starting at 7.35pm and will be presented by Calum Macaulay with analysis from Scotland and Edinburgh centre Nick De Luca and commentary from Hugh Dan MacLennan.

Edinburgh go into their first match of 2013 looking to improve their form after a run of four successive defeats in all competitions, including their 1872 Cup losses to Glasgow over the festive period.

Michael Bradley’s side currently sit in ninth spot and will face European champions Leinster, who lie in sixth place and who enjoy an unbeaten record against Scottish opponents since September 2011.

The last meeting of the clubs was in September at the Royal Dublin Society, when two tries from Brendan Macken plus a try and kicks from Jonathan Sexton helped the home side to a 22-16 win. Edinburgh’s response came via a WP Nel try plus a conversion and three penalties from Greig Laidlaw.

As well as the live action, at half-time there will be an extended interview with Scotland’s record cap and points scorer Chris Paterson, who looks back on both his domestic and international career and talks about his objectives for the future.

BBC ALBA has signed an exclusive deal to show live RaboDirect PRO12 rugby in Scotland until the 2013/14 season. The channel is committed to showing at least eight Edinburgh or Glasgow home matches per season, and has teamed up with Irish and Welsh broadcasters to also provide live coverage of selected away matches for both sides
