Annual memorial football match

The Kenny Macmillan Memorial Trophy was won this year by the fresh legs and younger side in the over 30s in their match against the under 30s.

Played in Lochs at the Creagan Dubh pitch the match was played in excellent spirits with Kenny’s brother Dan and nephew David both taking part.

The match, played in memory of the late Kenny Macmillan who sadly passed in 2010, was won by the under-30s with skipper Peter Mackenzie accepting the annual charity cup.

As well as a memorial the match is also a fundraising event for a local charity which is organised by the The Lewis and Harris Rangers Supporters Club.

More than £1,000 was raised for worthy cause Crossroads via the match and following events.
