Carloway FC flew the flag for Western Isles football in heroic style at the Highland Amateur Cup final on Saturday.

But unfortunately they couldn’t bring the trophy home across the Minch after going down 2-1 to an Avoch side who celebrated their fifth triumph in the prestigious competition.

Fraser Macleod (pictured) headed Carloway in front before two goals in six second-half minutes swung the tie in Avoch’s favour.
