Chance to support promsing teen footballer

A Lewis teenager is appealing for sponsorship as she bids to stake her claim at one of Scotland's top women's football teams.

Kirsty Macdonald has signed with the prestigious Glasgow Girls FC who are based in Glasgow’s east end and as the season draws near there are sponsorship options available to support the 18-year-old’s fledgling football career.

There are three tiers of sponsorship avbailble for all players within the club.

The top tier is the Gold sponsorship and is priced at £250 and offers sponsorship of both the player and her boots.

The silver sponsorship is £150 and is for the player only with the bronze deal £100 and includes only the boots.

A star player for the all-conquering Nicolson Institute Girls team which won a huge number of North of Scotland Cups and Schools Scottish Cups, kirsty has also graduated to the Western Isles Island Games squad where she turned out for the islands in Jersey in 2015.

She is hopeful of being selected this summer again when the Western Isles compete in the 2017 NatWest Island Games in Gotland.

Kirsty, originally from Point on Lewis, is juggling her time with Glasgow Girls with her full-time job in the city.

Her early form for her new club has been hugely impressive as she has weighed in with six goals in just three pre-season outings.

Glasgow Girls FC are a girls and women’s football team who where established in 1998. The club are based in the East-End of Glasgow, playing and training at their own facility, Budhill Park

Glasgow Girls FC compete in the Scottish Women’s Football League at Senior Level and also within the Scottish FA Youth Girls League at Youth Level.
