The clash of the early season football titans took place in Garrabost last night as both Lochs and Point went into battle with 100 per cent league records.
Something had to give and in the end it is advantage Lochs after they won 3-0 in a thrilling match.
Although the final score looks comfortable for the Maroons their success was largely down to keeper James Macleod’s heroics in goal.
See this week’s Stornoway Gazette for a full match report, reaction from both manager’s and pictures from the match.
Pictured is Robert Mackenzie’s goal which made it 2-0 for Lochs after his shot took a huge deflection and looped into the net.
