Football season kicks off with a bang

The first round of fixtures in the Lewis and Harris football league saw three clubs land winning blows.

Stornoway Athletic romped to a 7-2 victory over their town rivals United while West Side were on cloud nine after a 9-0 hammering of Harris.

Point edged Broadbay rivals Back by a single goal.

Tonight (Monday, April 14) Lochs host Carloway in the league while in the Acres Cup it is Point up against Ness.
