Former Celtic Football Club players Joe Miller and Mark Wilson to help Stornoway Celtic Supporters' club celebrate their 25th anniversary
To mark this special occasion the club have lined up two special guest speakers in ex-players Joe Miller and Mark Wilson with entertainment to follow.
Miller was in the Celtic first team squad in 1993 when the Stornoway Saltire Supporters Club was formed and so seems a good pick from the former players to speak to the club on his playing days.

He was known for his mazy runs on the left wing and likely best remembered by the Celtic faithful for scoring the winning goal in the 1989 Scottish Cup final.
His most successful season as a bhoy was season 1988, Celtic’s centenary year, in which the Hoops won the domestic double.
Joe now runs the Celtic Former Players Association, who support many charity groups, including the Tommy Burns Skin Cancer Trust and the Stiliyan Petrov (Leukaemia).

His total would no doubt have been greater only for a series of injuries at his time at Parkhead, but he did win three league titles, a League cup and Scottish cup in the green and white.
Mark is now involved in media on radio and Celtic TV.
The entertainment for the night will be provided by Joe Gallagher.
For those of you that have heard Joe play in the Jock Stein lounge at Celtic Park (as he regularly does) you’ll know you are in for a good night.

It is hoped that old and new members will share stories of the club’s 25 years. Things have certainly moved on since ’93 when Nero MacDonald and school friends set up what was then named the Western Isles Celtic Supporters Club.
