New date for Jock Mackay Cup final

Lewis and Harris FC will have to click their heels for a further seven days after the scheduled Jock Mackay Cup final was moved from Saturday, March 26 until Saturday, April 2.

They had been due to meet Golspie with the trophy up for grabs at Invergordon this weekend but this has now been moved back a week.

North Caledonian League chiefs confirmed the change was due to the ongoing league season. Halkirk United had been expected to win the league last weekend but their failure to do so means Golspie must now travel or Orkney this Saturday on the day the Jock Mackay final had been originally planned.

Lewis and Harris FC have performed well on their route to the final with 3-0 and 3-1 wins repsectively over Invergordon and Halkirk United.
