Hebridean Cycle Challenge
The exciting event had something for everyone with it’s quarter of disciplines: road cycling, MTB, running and walking to raise funds for the nominated charity ‘The Andrew Macleod Memorial Fund’.
For the more competitive athletes there was the Hebridean Cycle Challenge, a road and mountain bike race with the option of running the off-road section.

Hide AdOpen to both solo competitors or in teams of two (changing over at Miavaig) the race began with a 33.6 mile road cycle from the Creed Enterprise Park outside Stornoway to Miavaig in North Harris.
Then switching to a 10.5 mile off road section through the mountains from Miavaig to Bowglas ending with a half mile road section to the finish at the Scaladale Centre, Ardvourlie, North Harris.
For those looking for a personal challenge there was the Hebridean Charity Cycle, a 21.3 miles non-competitive solo event catering for casual cyclists.
