Interesting start to fishing season

The Stornoway Angling Association have had a really great idea and put a boat on Loch Orisay and already some nice fish have been caught by keen early anglers.

Norrie Duncan has had some excellent fish including a couple of cracking 4lb brown trout.

Loch Orisay is one of the rare places you can find some Arctic Char lurking in the deep water and if you are able to hook up with one by all accounts they are a nice eating fish.

Yes folks, for now at least, there are some fish out there you are still allowed to take home and eat without being on the wrong side of the law!
