Kara Hanlon signed off on her final Scottish Schools Championships in her emphatic style by setting two new records and retaining two titles.
The Stornoway swim sensation, and fully fledged member of the Scottish Gold squad, wowed onlookers at Aberdeen Sports Village with a display of elite level swimming.
In the process the 17-year-old shattered her own 100m breastroke record which she set just 12-months earlier, taking the record down by a more a second from 1:10.98 to 1:10.76.
In addition to winning the 100m breaststroke she also won the 200m breaststroke (2:35.92), setting a 200m record.
Her swimming calendar is filled with important challenges over the next few months beginning with a week with Edinburgh University and progressing to the National Age Grouips, the British Open and the summer’s Natwest Island Games in Jersey.
