Good luck to Stornoway Rugby Club today (Saturday, October 3) as they host Elgin side Moray at Bayhead.

Kick off is scheduled for 3pm and all rugby fans are invited to cheer on the home lads.

Last time out Stornoway enjoyed some slight revenge as they defeated a spirited Lochaber side which had put them to the sword just a week earlier.

The islanders were bitterly disappointed with their performance on the road the previous week and were looking for a significant improvement.

Having dominated the match in Fort William the visitors were confident of taking the points in Stornoway too but found the home side in no mood to be pushed aside again.

The game was very evenly fought with no score at half time. The island side got the better of the visitors in the second period, out scoring them three tries to two. John Campbell, Jeff MacDonald and Iain Mackinnon crossing the line with one conversion from David Mackay, was enough to secure a 17-12 win.
