GLASGOW Rangers captain Lee McCulloch is coming to Stornoway as the latest star guest of the Lewis and Harris Rangers Supporters Club.

McCulloch, known as Jig to the legions of Gers fans, has been confirmed as guest speaker at the Stornoway-based club on Saturday, May 11th.

His visit comes just a few months after Gers Chief Executive Charles Green visited the club and spoke at length to supporters at the club.

A whopping 87 members of the Lewis and Harris Rangers Supporters Club (LHRSC) made their way to Glasgow for their annual hospitality trip at Ibrox recently.

The members of the World’s Biggest RSC headed to Glasgow for the Third Division match against Annan Athletic on Saturday, March 9th.

LHRSC Ambassador and Rangers legend Ronnie McKinnon lead the party of supporters to reception in Ibrox where they enjoyed full hospitality for the day.

Rangers CEO Charles Green and Director Ian Hart, who recently visited Lewis came to visit the group in their hospitality suite before the match, as well as several former players including Mark Hateley and Willie Henderson.

The Supporters Club then made a presentation to the Former Players Benevolent Fund at half time. The fund supports players from Ronnie Mckinnon’s own era and gentlemen who are older than him.

After the match the group of fans also had the chance to meet skipper McCulloch to whom they presented with their Player of The Year Award for the 2012/2013 season.

The result of the match was disappointing but it did not stop the 87 members of the club having a fantastic day.

They represented the Club and the Western Isles with excellence throughout their trip and were also informed by the staff at Ibrox that this was the biggest group hospitality booking they have ever had. An incredible achievement.
