Stornoway girls take London Marathon in their stride

Well done to Stornoway girls Amy Cunningham and Karen Macdonald who ran the London Marathon yesterday and raised thousands of pounds of charity.

Amy finished in 4 hours and nine minutes running in aid of CRY - the Andrew Macleod Memorial Fund.

Karen crossed the line in 4 hours and 21 minutes and was raising money for Alzheimer Scotland in memory of her granny, Rena Chisholm, who was supported by the local Dementia Resource Centre and Solas Daycare following a diagnosis of dementia.

Between them Amy and Karen have raised over £15,000 for charity.
