A brand new football facility is being rolled out across Lewis and Harris in the form of Street Soccer.

Owned and run by The Shed, the new community and youth project set up beside Martin’s Memorial Church, Street Soccer is a portable football surface, goals and surrounds which can be set up anywhere.

Already Street Soccer has proved a big hit at Laxdale School and at Ness Gala Day with further plans to take it to Uig Gala Day and possibly set up at the Hebridean Celtic Festival and Lewis Carnival.

At the end of the summer it is hoped to set up regularly in Stornoway town centre,

The facility was funded with assistance from Leader with volunteers. For more information on Street Soccer please contact The Shed on 01851 704557 or email
