Once again the largest sporting participation event in the is back as the 8th Women’s Cancer Challenge take place in May.
“I don’t know if it makes us feel proud or just old!” chuckled one of the event organisers Tony Wade.
And with over 500 island ladies taking part last year, organisers are hoping for a great turnout in 2014.
“We’re looking forward to this year’s event and hope that again we can get an increase in the numbers taking part, on the back of all the enthusiasm about the forthcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow” said Tony.
Whether you intend to sprint, saunter or stroll around the five kilometre (three mile) course, the main aim of this challenge is the same – to get fit while raising money for a worthwhile cause.
