VIDEO: Island fling for Scottish Communities League Cup

ONE of Scottish football’s most prestigious prizes spent the afternoon visiting schools on Lewis today (Thursday) as the Scottish Communities League Cup dropped into Laxdale School and Stornoway Primary.

The prestigious trophy, won last season by Kilmarnock FC and due to be played for by St Mirren and Hearts next month, is more than 60-years old and has been guest of honour at many cup parties involving some of the country’s biggest stars and clubs.

See next week’s Stornoway Gazette for a spread of pictures and more details of the trophy’s island fling.
