Lochs’ midfield magician is the latest entry to the exclusive Club 100 for the Maroons after notching his century of club senior goals this week.
Murray’s milestone is all the more remarkable after his career looked to be finished after suffering a horrific leg break two-years ago while on 99 goals.
He publicly admitted he believed he wouldn’t play competitive football again and he had resigned himself to the fact he would stay on 99.
But after two-years fighting back to fitness he has returned to the Lochs side this season and his journey was completed on friday night as he clipped in a cool finish against Stornoway United at Goathill.
Fittingly it was his long time midfield partner David Macmillan who supplied the assist for the goal.
Murray now becomes just the EIGHTH member of the 100 Club alongside Macmillan, David Martin, Don ‘Lava’ Macleod, Jordan Mackay, Dan Macmillan, Robbie Mackenzie and Chuck Macleod.
