Western Isles Open goes Back To Black

DAVID Black won the men’s Western Isles Open Golf Championship by edging out rival Stewart Davidson at the first extra hole.

Davidson did brilliantly to take Black to the extra hole having trailed by two strokes with just four holes to play. But he handed the advantage to the 2011 Stornoway club champion by failing to capitalise on two good shots at the difficult ‘Castle.’

Davie’s brilliant bunker shot was a fitting climax to a great final.

Norrie”Eggs”Mackenzie won the Handicap Final while Chris Kelso won the Senior final at the fourth extra hole.
