Cancer Challenge 5K attracts best ever participation

The tenth anniversary of the Women's Cancer Challenge 5K may have had to endure a downpour on Saturday afternoon, but that did not dampen the spirits of those taking part.

The event which took place in Lews Castle Grounds at the weekend attracted 600 plus participants - the best turn out in its history - who ran, jogged and walked the 5K with wide smiles, and in some cases, some colourful outfits.
