Lewis and Harris Rangers Club annual Ibrox visit

Last month a blue tidal wave swept down the country from the Western Isles to Govan as 100 members of the World's Biggest Rangers Supporters Club made the trip to Glasgow for their annual hospitality day at Ibrox.

Despite the match being moved from the Saturday afternoon to Friday evening it didn’t stop the group making the journey and enjoying fantastic hospitality at the home of Glasgow Rangers.

Hospitality began at 4:30pm on the day and before island supporters had all taken their seats they were joined in the suite by Rangers management team Mark Warburton, David Weir and Jim Stewart. Manager Mark Warburton addressed the group, thanking them for their dedication and commitment to RFC. He also commented on the incredible numbers for one group of supporters. Following his speech, the managerial trio stayed in the suite to speak with LHRSC members individually and for pictures and autographs.

The Lewis & Harris Rangers Supporters Club were also visited in the Suite by Directors Paul Murray, John Gilligan and Stewart Robertson, former Players Gordon Smith, Colin Stein, Willie Johnston, Alex Macdonald and John Brown. The suspended Rob Kiernan then came to the suite along with Andy Cameron for a Q & A session just before the match.

Rangers won the game 3-1 to the delight of the fans.

Following the game Jason Holt visited the Ibrox Suite to meet the group and be presented with The Lewis & Harris RSC Player of the Year Award for 2016. He also spent some time in the suite for pictures and autographs before the evenings hospitality ended at 11pm. The hospitality shown to LHRSC by Rangers before during and after the match was exceptional.
